Birth
Birth is an opportunity to honor a woman and birthing person’s innate wisdom. Giving birth at home allows you to birth in a familiar surrounding - having total control in temperature, lighting, sound, the ability to eat/drink as desired, and who is present for the birth of your baby.
Active monitoring of vital signs and baby’s heart tones using a hand-held doppler
Use of professional birth pool
An assistant or student to maintain order and cleanliness of the birth space, assist the midwife at time of delivery, disinfect and deflate the pool, keep the birth team (You too, partner!) hydrated and nourished, and will even do the last load of laundry . We plan to leave your home how we found it.
On-site emergency equipment and medications including IV fluids, medications, resuscitation equipment, and alternatives
Devotion Midwifery highly recommends hiring a doula and birth photographer to be part of your team. Doulas offer continuous emotional and physical support while your midwife is providing medical care. Please consider local birth professionals to join us!

Just like you would save up or focus your budget for a wedding, Christmas, or special vacation, birth is an important life event that often comes with a monetary cost. At Devotion Midwifery we believe that EVERY PERSON deserves midwifery care and that cost should not stand in the way. Therefore, we are proud to offer care at a sliding scale rate. This fee is all inclusive except for the home birth kit which we always aim to keep at an accessible rate. If you are inquiring to use insurance to cover your care, head over to the Insurance page to learn more about that process or click the buttons below to learn more or get started.
